Our Philosophy

At Heritage Hills Montessori Child Development Centre our philosophy is based on “Learning Through Play” and the Montessori method. The Montessori method involves children’s natural interests and activities and focuses mostly on intellectual development and the development of good work habits. We recognize that children have other needs in order to develop the whole self.

For this reason we offer a variation of the of the Montessori method that is more flexible and focuses on all areas of development through S.P.I.C.E.. The Montessori method is based on the prepared environment, a carefully planned arrangement of surroundings, equipment and materials. We will be fostering moral development, emphasizing such components as cooperation, self-control, order, responsibility, patience and common good.

  We absolutely love this daycare and are grateful to the staff for the care and the love that they provide. My son often reminisces about his time there and my daughter misses her teachers and friends when she is away. They have taught our kids the alphabet, how to write, music, yoga, and much more.   My child absolutely loves this daycare and I am satisfied with the communication from the teachers as well as email updates! I find it to be professional as well as safe when it comes to the pandemic protocol...I would certainly feel secure to leave my baby with these ladies.

  My child attended Heritage Hills for 8 amazing years! He was quite sad to leave the caring teachers! They really got to know our family and we knew we could work through situations as team, if needed. They took opportunities to coach my son on manners, grammar and being kind daily!
